West Midlands Community Sports Awards

West Midlands Community Sports Awards

Energize in conjunction with the other five County Sports Partnerships in the West Midlands and BBC Midlands are also proud to present the West Midlands Community Sports Awards, being held this year in association with 360 University of Birmingham.

This event is held annually in Birmingham as a follow on to our local awards events and will see the best of local grassroots sport from across the region being recognised for their outstanding work.

The Energize Awards are one of the ‘heats’ for the West Midlands Community Sports Awards.  Winners of the following categories at the Energize Awards will be presented with a Golden Ticket to the West Midlands awards, where they will represent Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin in the hope of winning the regional title for their category:

  • Coach of the Year
  • Community Club of the Year
  • Community project of the Year
  • Aspiring Talent Award (known at the Energize Awards as the Junior Sports Performance of the Year Award)

Also being presented at the West Midlands Community Sports Awards is the BBC Sports Unsung Hero Award, which launches in September and has a separate nominating process.  The BBC will also induct a new face into the BBC Midlands Hall of Fame.

The West Midlands Community Sports Awards will be held on 30th November at Villa Park in Birmingham.
