2016 Energize Awards


Now in their 10th year, the Energize Awards recognise people that take part, work and volunteer in sport and physical activity across Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin, as well as those who don’t necessarily work or volunteer in a sport setting but are still doing fantastic work to help local people to be more active.

The awards are an opportunity for local people and organisations to be celebrated for their passion, dedication and commitment to grass-roots sport, and for helping our communities to improve their wellbeing by being more active.

In this milestone 10th year, which also falls in an Olympic and Paralympic Games year, we have added three brand new categories, recognising the fantastic work happening in local schools, colleges and other education settings, and are planning a special event at a new venue which can accommodate more people.

If you know people, teams, clubs, organisations or businesses that deserve to be recognised for their achievements or contributions to local sport, please take the time to nominate them.

William Penny Brookes Trophy for Outstanding Contribution to Sport and Physical Activity

This year the awards ceremony will take place on Thursday 3rd November at Telford International Centre.
