2016 Energize Awards
On Thursday 3rd November 2016 the 10th annual Energize Awards took place at The International Centre in Telford, recognising people that take part, work and volunteer in sport and physical activity across Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin, as well as those who don’t necessarily work or volunteer in a sport setting but are still doing fantastic work to help local people to be more active.
Organised by the local County Sports Partnership, Energize Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin, the awards are an opportunity for local people and organisations to be celebrated for their passion, dedication and commitment to grass-roots sport, and for helping our communities to improve their wellbeing by being more active.
2016 was a milestone 10th year for the awards, and we added brand new categories recognising the fantastic work happening in local schools. We hope to extend this to local colleges and other further and higher education setting in 2017.
If you know people, teams, clubs, groups, projects, organisations or businesses that deserve to be recognised for their achievements or contributions to sport and helping people to be active, please take the time to nominate them when nominations open in June 2017.
If you would like to be kept up to date with when nominations open for the Energize Awards, please contact Energize on 01743 297191 or email firstname.lastname@example.org and ask to be added to the mailing list for our e-newsletter.
